The Autumn meeting was held in the lovely surroundings of Dillington House, near Ilminster. Lively paper presentation sessions were accompanied by guest lectures from Mike Tuke (“Is hip resurfacing dead?”) and Prof Mike Freeman (“Longitudinal rotation at the knee – an evolutionary vestige or modern necessity?”).

The best paper prize was awarded to Will Thomas for his presentation on “Enhanced Orthopaedic Recovery”.

Dinner was held in the presence of England’s top Henry VIII impersonator, Mr Mike Farley, who entertained us with a history lesson with a difference!
